Amber Boykin, Miss Everglades is from Thonotosassa, Florida. In June 2020, she obtained her Associate of Science in Criminology and Crime Justice Studies, along with her certification in Criminal Justice Technology, Victim Advocacy, and Crime Analyst. She currently is pursuing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management at Polk State College in Lakeland, Florida - current Dean’s List with 3.9 GPA, Certified Veterinary Assistant; 2017 Recipient of the Florida Strawberry Growers Ambassador Scholarship; 2017 Recipient of the Florida State Fair Foundation Scholarship; 2017 Strawberry Festival Herdsmen Award; 2017 Justin Gill Memorial Beef Showmanship Champion, 2016 Recipient of the Hillsborough County Harvest Queen Scholarship, Head team leader for Ag-venture; and has over 400+ volunteer hours at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center and the Humane Society of Polk County.
Amber is a competitive baton twirler and will be performing her talent on the Miss Florida stage. She had the honor of holding the title of 2014 and 2016 Intermediate Miss Majorette of Florida, 2015 Miss Majorette of the Southeast, Top 3 World Open Intermediate 2-baton, Top 5 in World Open Advanced Strut. Some interesting facts about Amber. She has been an avid Livestock Exhibitor including showing beef and swine. She loves the Wizard of Oz and can snap her fingers to the sound of a galloping horse.
Amber is passionate about spreading awareness on her social impact initiative, “Planting the Seed.” It’s so crucially important that we continue to be a nation that can feed our own people. The country that can not feed itself, is not free. It’s time to plant a seed in our children to ensure the industry’s success and her goal is to do just that.
She is her 3rd year competing with the Miss America Organization. Previous titles of Miss Manatee 2018 and Miss Lakeland 2019. Amber looks forward to representing the Florida Everglades on the Miss Florida stage.
